ANARCHY AS A POLITICAL SYSTEM

The opposite of order is disorder. Anarchy is not disorder.

Another opposite of order is chaos. Anarchy does not mean chaos.

Anarchy has an opposite. Hierarchy. Every man is better than others at something, but he is not better than others. To each a role according to ability, not heritage or association, an end to Hierarchy.

Anarchy is when a man takes responsibility for his own life, and refuses to accept subordination to or from anyone. He stops bowing to others and refuses anyone to bow to him. A man amongst men, with no regard for class or Hierarchy, hence, Anarchy. Let each man live his life not for other men, but because of other men.

ELECTRONIC PRIVACY

Electronic privacy is one of the most over debated topics for ten years running. We hear from thousands of experts, officials and hysterical porn addicts. Each and every one of them approaches the issue from one of two viewpoints: Privacy at all cost versus public security at all cost. I believe these to be pre-agreed opposites to serve as fake discussion issue while the Orwellian agenda is happening around us anyway. The true solution is much simpler, cheaper and safer. We stop worrying about electronic privacy on anything you cannot secure reliably. Let them openly read your letters and scrutinise your shopping lists. None of that is new, King Solomon did it. The nosy old woman at the post office did it. Then we open the Book of Public Accounts. Enact a read-only public server, open to any citizen at any time. The data can be updated at the end of every working day. It’s that easy.

Monsanto and Bayer, a Bad Buy, or just more Holocau$t Reparation?

Monsanto, for those of us who don’t care about such things, is the world’s largest agrochemical company. Was. They have been bought out by Bayer, a German chemical giant, in a surprising move. Why surprising? Because Monsanto is under fire for billions, possibly trillions of dollars in liability claims. Yet, Bayer bought Monsanto, problems and all. What makes this even more surprising, is that Monsanto was well on its way to fulfil their dream: owning the world’s food supply. Or, to put it in their words: “End world hunger and feed the world.” If that sentence sounds like it says the same thing twice, we forgive you. It takes a certain world-weary cynicism to see the two very different philosophies in that statement.

At Davos, Baal Gates and the World Economic Forum Discuss the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Have you wondered what exactly people mean when they refer to the much-vaunted 4th Industrial Revolution? This author became suspicious of the idea of a fourth revolution the day a dear acquaintance used the term when trying to convince me (yet again) what a paranoid conspiracy theorist I am. A salesman with no interest in science, technology or engineering, celebrates, nay, educates an engineer, on the “fourth industrial revolution”? Something is wrong…

Corporate Crimes and the 3 Laws of Robotics

  1. A robot may not, by action or inaction, cause harm to a human.
  2. A robot shall obey orders from a human, except where in conflict with Rule 1.
  3. A robot shall protect itself from harm, provided it does not conflict with Rule 1 or 2.

What is a robot? The term is from a Czech slang term for a slave worker. Isaac Asimov originally used it to describe a machine with human-like qualities. The modern term denotes any machine with a degree of autonomy, with no specification as to that degree. Even a subroutine on your phone, keeping a look-out for supermarket specials, is acceptably called a bargain-hunting ‘bot, or similar. For our purposes here, and everywhere else, may we propose the following definition of a robot:

Any system that collects inputs, and delivers pre-determined outputs, according to a predetermined set of instructions, acting with a degree of autonomy, qualifies under the description of ‘robot’.

This includes your bank!

Political Scientists, Economists, Witchdoctors, Charlatans of All Sorts

The Holy Profits of Mammon, with 20-20 vision in hindsight.

Political science serves the same purpose as economics; finding elaborate reasons to prove that last week’s accident was actually an inevitable consequence of well-understood processes which must be fixed by legislation and regulation. The rest of their time is spent building reasons and theories and excuses for next week’s accident. They also plan the entire PR side of all such accidents, well beforehand, which is why their stories are always so repetitive; they think we never learn from their mistakes.
