This is available through most of the growing season.
Identification
A small weed with hand-shaped clusters of leaves at the end of brittle stalks. Straight risers carry clumps of tiny skeletal orchid-like white to pinkish-white flowers. The seed forms as long thin beans held horizontally from the flower stalk.
Harvesting
The soft new growth is easily separated without ripping up the plant.
Preparation
The plant is cooked as a cabbage equivalent. Preservation and drying has not been attempted.
Uses
It certainly is filling and agreeable as a foodstuff.
