Once, long ago, when my Dragons were serfs to my aesthetic, I put a small chick into Slick's glass jail to keep warm during a storm. By the time the thunder lifted, I put down the chick, the Dragon has pulped her legs, trying to swallow the 'worms'. They will eat just about any kind of crawling thing; but they do not like mud on their food. I have so for not once managed to get an earthworm into a Dragon. Rose beetles, humongous larvae of beetles I dig up from my Worm Farm, the beetles that lay the eggs that become those expensive mealworms you buy at the petshop, they all go down in gulps. They like their protein to move, their vegetables they want fresh. Jackie Bearded Dragons are not scavengers.
