Sport, Politics and the price of I

Professional sports is like true democracy: Behind the scenes, you have a small, exclusive and mostly unknown group of people making millions and millions every day. In front, you have a slightly bigger group, playing some useless game to attract the crowds, and earning way too much money for doing nothing productive or of any survival value. You and I are not only happy to shout and applaud to motivate the players earning more in a day you and I make in a month, we are expected to pay for the glorious privilege of watching them run around playing with each others’ balls!! Once in a while, of course, we get to see some real action, like when the full-back minister of Transport is tackled low in his driveway by a gunman hired by a fly-half candidate for next month’s election. In the end, it is always the Left Wing that gets to run with the ball, occasionally helped by some Strikers. The Right Wing is apparently too much white, and will soon be dropped from the team. Not that it matters, no-one is allowed to win without proper permission, anyway, that would lead to chaos. Imagine people winning just because they were ‘better’ at something… that reeks of supremacism!
Some wise wacko once said “ One day, the only truth you will find in a newspaper, will be the sports scores. Yes, the games will be rigged, and the empires crooked, and the winners pre-arranged, but whatever score was on that board at the end of the game, it will be faithfully recorded, and reported.” That day has long come, every word in public is coloured by opinions obtained by listening to opinions. All political eventualities, if discussed at all, will be treated as some sort of spectacle, with the crowd either wholly behind the subject matter (team pep talk) or “dramatically divided” (election, social issue, league game) and then we see a parade of ‘expert opinion’ take their place at the Desk, to bestow upon us the “Leading Opinion” (their words) of the retired champion or prizewinning coach. Ye gods, in 2018 we suddenly have half the FBI working as news commentators? All working the Superbowl script, all with “Leading Opinions.” Leading my a…
Professional sports serve the most important political duty after poverty: Sports keeps the public attention occupied so they do not start talking about the political origins of their poverty. In other words; should you lift your head above the drudgery and debt, and the dreadful things you have to do to service that debt, if you should have one moment of surcease, one tiny glimmer of free time, you might spend that time thinking about the causes of your despair, you might even think of a way out of the vicious circle of poverty. This can absolutely not be allowed, so we give you extravagant sports arenas, and grand palaces full of shiny things and shiny people and shiny dreams, we give you television, and computerised channels where you can communicate with your many, many friends (some of whom you’ll never meet ), you can have gr8 chats 4 lolling at 8ters. So far, intelligent discourse has avoided twatspace, and when it does accidentally germinate, it is soon gets “corrected” or eliminated, lest we get radicalised. Radicalised people, apparently, vote wrong, or something. Luckily, this voting thing will come to an end soon, but until then, you absolutely have to vote, and you have to vote like we tell you. Otherwise, we’ll come de-radicalise your fascist ass!
Of course, there is plenty argument for children to partake in sports. In our modern life where physical labour and travel by foot has been almost eliminated, children need vigorous exercise, even if in the form of repetitive and unproductive competition. The problem lies with adults. Adult sports exist for only two reasons: gambling and political diversion. That has been dealt with, the problem is the seriousness adults bestow upon children’s sports. The dream is, of course, to see a champion from your loins attain victory, how grand, an achievement for a child, a validation for its adult. This is where the exercise becomes indoctrination, and another generation grows up with their eye on the ball, bugger all other considerations. In any case, “politics is just a bunch of complicated stuff, what can I do about it?” The same voice will inform you how sports is preparing the kid for adult life, what with the common values and work ethics and discipline…
Once again, the parallels are just too bizarre. What is the one thing that unifies the reputation of the professional coach with the reputation of those who walk the most hallowed halls of our Nation States? They really, really, REALLY love kids. If you believe the #MeToo people, every male coach is a child molester, and every politician rapes his secretary over lunch. The slightest bit of rational contemplation should assure us this cannot possibly be true. Yet, in politics, as in sport, there seems to be a culture of “raising them right”, “to the hand” and all the other disgusting little jokes these people like to snigger amongst themselves. Mostly, secretaries are quite safe from actual attack, the champion-makers much prefer little children, it seems.
Molested children are mindslaves: The genitals (and for some reason the anus) is directly wired to the centre of the brain, just “above” the fingertips, toes, nose and other extremities. By the painful and dominant penetration of a developing child’s anus or genitals, you are actually (directing/ influencing/ hampering/ altering) interfering with his cerebral development. You are directly influencing the brain at the centre, which may explain homosexuality by teachers versus transgenderism through factors in the womb. This will also explain the “get them by eight, before it’s too late”. A fully developed brain is not so easy to lead by the balls. On the other hand, I am sure at least one of those pederast bastards have a complicated theory on how it is the sex that makes the child perform better, and is that not what every parent wants, a champion at all cost? Those #MeToo sexretaries are very silent on the well-publicised syndrome of mommies “holding their kids down” on the casting couch.
On TV they told me the majority of serious addicts were molested as children. Is their drug abuse an attempt to scratch an itch deep in the centre of the brain? At least the healthy lifestyle of athletes saves them from that curse…not. There is currently not one famous sports celebrity that is not partaking of some sort of Juice. Much was yammered about Russian doping, but the three-times champion gymnast from the Undeclared Soviet in America has been on ADHDAADHDAD medication since she first showed promise as an athlete, at nine tears old or something. The little bitch performs her acrobatics high on crystal meth, every time, yet it is considered okay, because, shame, it’s therapeutic, the medication, it is, it just happens to be the same as meth, but it’s not meth, it’s prescription therapeutics. We are sure to hear about her coach in years to come, I’m sure, but like Armstrong, or Pistorius, that demon sitting in the centre of the noggin’ will just keep on needing the next fix, forever. When druggies get old, they either lose interest or access. When people on prescriptions get old, their prescriptions just become more complicated, more expensive and just as addictive as the junkie’s crack. It seems that itch never goes away, but it was a small price to pay for that goal, that trophy, that touchdown, that brilliant moment in the glow of adoration from a million smiling faces… Are you going to assist your child on its way to professional celebrity, dear caring parent? What price are you willing to let your child pay? Or, let’s be honest, how much you think They will pay for such a nice child? Hmmm…
